SIV Training in Ölüdeniz with FLYSPOT
What Is SIV Training?
SIV — Simulation d’Incident en Vol — is the course where you practise the situations every pilot hopes never to meet in real air: asymmetric and frontal collapses, stalls, spins and spiral recoveries. You make them happen on purpose, high above the water, and you learn to bring the wing back under control every single time.
FLYSPOT Gives This Education
We give this education in Ölüdeniz, right where the paragliding community of Fethiye flies. Our SIV instructors are exceptionally talented people with excellent English and years of expertise. Every manoeuvre is briefed on the ground, flown under radio guidance, and debriefed again after landing — you always know what you are doing, why, and what comes next.
A Typical SIV Day
- Morning briefing: the day’s manoeuvres, your personal goals and the plan.
- Flights over the water with radio guidance from the instructor.
- A rescue boat on the water and a life jacket on every pilot.
- Debrief and video review after each flight.
Life Jackets and Equipment
Every pilot wears a life jacket on our SIV course. Bring your own or rent one from FLYSPOT for 5 € a day. If the jacket ever opens, the repack costs 60 € and includes new tubes and a fresh water cartridge. Need a glider or a radio? Ask us about equipment rental when you book.
