SIV — Simulation d’Incident en Vol — is the course where pilots practise exactly the situations every paraglider pilot hopes never to meet in the air: collapses, stalls and spins. On a SIV course you make them happen on purpose, high above the water, under the guidance of instructors who coach you through each recovery step by step.
FLYSPOT gives this education in Ölüdeniz. Every course runs with a rescue boat on the water and a life jacket on every pilot, so you can focus completely on learning. The goal is simple: when something unexpected happens on a normal flight, your reactions are automatic — because you have already felt it, handled it and recovered from it.
Our SIV instructors are exceptionally talented people with excellent English and years of expertise. Every manoeuvre is briefed on the ground first, flown under radio guidance, and debriefed again after landing. You always know what you are doing, why you are doing it, and what comes next.
Every SIV flight ends over the lagoon or the open sea — and every pilot wears a life jacket. Bring your own, or simply rent one from FLYSPOT for 5 € a day. If the life jacket is ever opened, we repack it for 60 €, and the repack includes new tubes and a fresh water cartridge, so the jacket is ready for the next flight.
FLYSPOT’s education program covers the full path: P2 - P3 - P4 - P5 - T1 - SIV - ACRO - WORKSHOPS. SIV courses fit pilots who already fly and want to go deeper: handling collapses, pitch control, stalls and spirals, with the course adapted to your level and your goals.
