Ölüdeniz is one of the few places in Europe where you can fly almost the whole year. The main SIV season runs from spring through autumn, when the sea breeze over the lagoon is most predictable and the thermals are well behaved. Wind and weather decide each flying day — your instructor picks the launch point (1200 m to 1965 m) according to the conditions.

• Spring: smooth morning air, ideal for first SIV courses and gentle manoeuvres.
• Summer: the most reliable flying window — book early, it is the busiest time.
• Autumn: calmer air again, a favourite for pilots who want depth over speed.

Prices and Rental

• SIV training: 200 € a day from Babadağ.
• Life jacket rental: 5 € a day — if the jacket opens, the 60 € repack includes new tubes and a fresh water cartridge.
